CURNT — making community events work for everyone in the room
Attendees, organizers and brands share one event, but each needs something different from it.
Phase 0 software complete · first live event pending
The situation
CURNT is a youth activation venture built around community events. Attendees are trying to take part. Organizers and brands each face their own operational reality: registration, entry, attendance, and whether the support they give means anything.
The same evening looks different depending on whose job you are doing that night.

- Event organizers
- Brands supporting events
What I did
I founded CURNT and lead its product direction. A key change was narrowing scope: from a broad graph-platform thesis to an agency-first model built around the tangible work of running an event.
The Phase 0 software is complete, including a prototype entry flow: RSVP, signed QR pass, door scan. Running it at a live event is the next step.
- Product strategy
- Service design
- Full-stack prototyping
- QR ticketing flows
Decisions that shaped it
From platform thesis to event operations
The early idea was an expansive platform. The revised scope starts with what an event actually needs on the night: registration, entry, attendance and follow-up.
Owner-reported
Make the door a single, verifiable step
An RSVP becomes a signed QR pass, scanned at the door. Attendance is recorded by the same step that lets someone in.
Owner-reported
Reward showing up, not just signing up
A proposed “scene passport” turns repeat attendance into rewards that partners can redeem — designed, not yet tested with attendees.

Results
Not claimed yet. Results appear here only once they are documented — until then, this page shows what was designed, built or proposed.
Limits and honest caveats
- No live event results are claimed: the first event was still pending at last review.
- Incentive and adoption ideas are hypotheses, not findings.
